For the past two days in school there was a lot of excitement in the P5 resource area due to the arrival of a tuck shop.
This was only a two day tuck shop that was being run to help raise money for the school perfomance of Cinderella which will be taking place in March.
All the children had the opportunity to bring in a small amount of money to purchase some lovely treats.
If the performance is as "sweet" as the tuck we will have a great show.
We are very thankful to the Classroom Assistants, Mrs McCracken, Mrs Parks and Mrs Parker who ran the event so successfully.
We are also indebted to the parents for supporting us in this venture as we raised a fantastic sum of £400!
This money will be really helpful towards the cost of the forthcoming show.
Well done to everyoine involved

Parents Internet Safety Evening Invite
We all know that the internet is a wonderful thing. It helps us learn, research topics, play games, have fun and connects us with people all over the world. We also hear the horror stories about the internet and at times we can be apprehensive about letting our children use the internet. What can we do to keep our children protected online?
We take internet safety very seriously in school and consequently, this week we will be promoting “Internet Safety Week.” During this week, your children will be engaging in many activities in school which are designed to teach them simple ways that they can protect themselves from inherent dangers online.
We also know that this is an area that some of you, as parents, may find daunting. It is hard to keep up to date with the ever changing world of social media and the internet. When our children and young people are talking about hashtags, DM’s, Instagram, Facebook etc. it can feel like they are talking a different language at times!
Help is at hand…We would like to run an internet safety evening designed to inform parents of primary school age children, on what they can do to keep the whole family safe online. The evening will be run by Love For Life, a local Waringstown based charity group who specialise in this area.
The evening will be entitled “Face to Facebook,” and will cover such areas as:
- Social Networking
- Cyberbullying
- Mobile technology
- Privacy
- And much more
Parents of all children in our school from Nursery, right up to Primary 7 are welcome to attend the evening which is pencilled in for Thursday 18th February from 7-8:30pm in our school Assembly Hall.

Today (and tomorrow) our P4 - P7 pupils have been enjoying working with Mr Aaron Riddle through 'The Amazing Journey to Bethlehem.' He has been encouraging our pupils to share their knowledge of the Christmas Story through an interactive and discussion based lesson.
'The Amazing Journey' has been visiting numerous schools throughout Northern Ireland for several years and we are delighted that we have now had the opportunity to enjoy 'The Journey' here as part of our R.E. Curriculum.

They have represented themselves and the school tremendously well and should be very proud of their achievements.
We also want to say a nuge thankyou to Mrs Brown for all the hard work she has put in with our 'public speakers/performers.'
Well done to you all.
