The whole school came together to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas in an Assembly led by Mr McCambley.

Many of the Christmas traditions were explained by Mr McCambley.   The focus at the end was the Nativity scene where Baby Jesus was placed right at the HEART of our celebrations. We closed the assembly with a rendition of ‘Away In A Manger’ and a prayer.

Daily Mile Santa Run 2023

Details

Published: 04 December 2023

Recently Waringstown Primary School took part in the nation-wide event ‘Northern Ireland Does The Daily Mile Santa Run!

Children were encouraged, as appropriate, to run or jog for most of the time and keep walking to a minimum.

We all know that being more active, more often, makes us feel that little bit better. This was a great opportunity for our children to think about their own mental health and what makes them feel that bit happier.

Children wore their school tracksuits alongside a Christmas Jumper to support this event.  Everyone enjoyed their time outside and accomplished the Daily Mile Santa Run.  Take a look through our gallery to see how we got on:
