Scripture union have had a wonderful first term of fun and Bible teaching. We have been thinking about being 'Thankful and fruitful'. We learned about the parable of the sower and Ruth and Boaz. We played seed games and our memory verse for this term was Psalm 107:1 "Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His steadfast love endures forever." The children learned sign language for this verse and had to rearrange fruit and vegetables to put the verse in the correct order. We are so thankful to Suzie from Waringstown Presbyterian church who came and taught us about the fruits of the Spirit and how we had to be connected to Jesus, the vine, for us to grow fruit. What a fun few weeks!

Primary 2 travelled to Armagh Palace Stables on Monday for their 'Apple Trip'. We learned how apples came from the tree, to the factory, to the shops and to our homes. We saw how apple juice was made in the 1700s and how to make apple potato bread. We made our own 3d apples in the craft room and played apple games! A super day which was enjoyed by all the children.

It was lovely to see the boys and girls coming to school today, wearing a pop of yellow for World Mental Health Day. The pupils also enjoyed the class activities, which focused on Children’s Mental Health and what we can do to keep our mind healthy. Thank you for your support and your generous donations, which will go directly to the Young Minds charity. It is greatly appreciated.

Primary 1 made lots of new discoveries when making jelly as part of their “Red Topic”!
They watched the jelly cubes melt when the boiling water was poured on. A wooden spoon was used to stir the jelly. The jelly liquid was put into the fridge to cool and set. The next day we checked the fridge and the jelly was no longer a liquid, it had set! It was wibbly, wobbly and ready to eat! We all agreed it was the best jelly ever! It was DELISH!
