This week in school classes will be learning about British Sign Language which is celebrated in March to coincide with the anniversary of the recognition of BSL by the British Government in 2003.
Due to our participation in CSSC’s ‘Engaging with Sign – a language for you and me,’ all of our pupils have free access to online resources for learning sign language. Along with online access in school, pupils are also being provided with a link which will allow them to enjoy sign language sessions at home with their families.
Please use the link below. An access password for this link was emailed to you in February. We will send this email out again this week.

We are delighted to announce that one of our P6 pupils is the winner of this year's CSSC (Controlled Schools' Support Council) Christmas card competition. The theme was to design a Christmas Card showing the true meaning of Christmas.
Today we welcomed Mrs Murray from CSSC who presented our winner with a framed picture of her design, christmas cards with her design on them and several other treats. What a lovely thing for us as a school to celebrate just before the Christmas break.

This morning the children throughout the whole school watched a short Remembrance Assembly on their iPanels which had been recorded by Mr McCambley.
At the same time, the Primary 7 bubble were able to join (in the well-ventilated mall area) with Mr McCambley and some staff to take part in the school’s Remembrance Day Assembly.
It was good to unite to remember the significance of the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month.
The oldest boy and girl in the school will, as is our custom, lay the wreath on behalf of the school at the village Cenotaph on Sunday 14 November.
