P6M enjoyed a fantastic blend of classroom learning and outdoor exploration today. We began by investigating the unique conditions found in a rainforest - from intense humidity to heavy rainfall - and discussed what designers would need to consider when creating a shelter for such an environment. Working in groups, pupils sketched out imaginative designs and identified the key features that would help a structure cope with challenging weather.

In the afternoon, we headed to the Forest School area to bring those ideas to life. Using natural materials and plenty of teamwork, each group built their own shelter inspired by their classroom plans. The creativity on display was brilliant, collaboration was strong, and P6M had a great time experimenting, problem‑solving and building together.
