Mr Mitchell’s P6 class made the most of today’s gorgeous weather with a music lesson in our forest school area. Inspired by rainforest images, pupils set out to recreate the sounds of the jungle using nothing but body percussion and the natural materials they could gather around them. Soon the space was alive with rustling leaves, tapping sticks, rhythmic stomps and—at one unforgettable moment—some wildly imaginative monkey calls.
The class threw themselves into the challenge with brilliant energy, experimenting, collaborating and laughing their way through the creative process. Their final soundscapes were imaginative, expressive and full of character. A fantastic afternoon of sunshine, music and creativity from P6M. Well done!
