Primary 5 are Active Travel SuperHeroes! They have completed 10 Active Journeys to school over the last 3 weeks. Everyone received a certificate to celebrate this achievement.

Primary 5 have recently been very busy measuring items and objects around the school. They have enjoyed measuring the Interactive White Boards, Bins, Window, Doors and lots of other things around the classroom and corridors! Primary 5 are currently working on converting Measurement. Below is a link to a game which encourages the use of converting measurement units:

Recently all of our classes were reminded of their E-Safety 'SMART' rules and how to ensure they stay safe online. Primary 5 hosted an informative assembly on all of the different ways we can use the internet today. They reminded the children that they should never give out their own personal details while online. We have included the powerpoint for your viewing.

Primary 5 children recently enjoyed an introduction to the 'Healthy Kidz' programme. This programme is supported by Queens University, Belfast and is conducted by a team of coaches. The children got to experience agility, flexibility, speed, balance and core strength exercises during the session. Everyone participated and enjoyed this experience. Primary 5 thoroughly enjoyed their recent visit to the Ulster Museum in connection with their World Around Us topic of The Egyptians. The children enjoyed time in the Learning Zone led by a qualified Archaeologist, here they were able to identify and handle various artefacts from Egyptian times before heading up to Zone 2 in search of the famous Mummy Takabuti!
