Our rugby squad travelled to the home of Ulster Rugby, The Kingspan Stadium, to take part in a rugby Blitz. The team ran out from the players entrance to face Mullaglass PS, followed by games against Andrews Memorial PS and Moneyrea PS. They also had the opportunity to sit in the Ulster Rugby Team's home changing room and meet Ulster Rugby player John Cooney. The sun was shining for the whole tournament and the boys, staff and parents thoroughly enjoyed their day out.
A massive thank to our parents for offering lifts and supporting our team and also to Ulster Rugby for the boys' treats and the new rugby balls and cones for the school.

We were thrilled to celebrate a very special moment with one of our own this week. Mr Mitchell, a valued teacher here at Waringstown Primary School was part of the team that won the prestigious Irish Cup Final!

In true Waringstown spirit, Mr Mitchell brought the trophy into school to share his incredible achievement with all our pupils. The children (and staff) were overjoyed to see and even hold the famous cup. The excitement in the hall was electric as Mr Mitchell talked about the big match and what it took to become a champion.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to see that hard work, teamwork and dedication lead to great things and to celebrate a real-life role model right in their own school.
Mr Mitchell we are so proud of you!

At Waringstown Primary School, we believe in celebrating every child’s achievements, both inside and outside the classroom. One of the highlights of our week is our Friday Assembly where we proudly recognise the incredible talents and dedication of our pupils in a very special way.
Each week, our prize winners are invited to bring in the trophies, medals, certificates and awards they have earned through their youth organisations, sports teams and hobbies outside of school. Whether it’s football, gymnastics, dance, Scouts, martial arts, swimming, music or any other pursuit, we take great pride in showcasing the wide range of talents our children are developing beyond the school gates.
We are incredibly proud of every pupil who brings their awards in and contributes to this positive, supportive culture of achievement. Their dedication, hard work and passion are a credit to them, their families and our school.
Congratulations to all of our prize winners – keep up the fantastic work!

At noon, we paused to remember the significance of today just as countless people around the world did.
As the children were reminded; we stood for peace in our two-minute silence.

Huge congratulations to Mr McKee (Classroom Assistant) who ran the Belfast Marathon over the weekend to conclude our fundraising for the 2025 i-Challenge.
Youth was certainly on his side in the heat and by the look of him he may have caught the marathon bug!
We know you’ve been extremely generous already; however, should you wish to donate to Mr McKee’s run all proceeds will go to the i-Challenge grand total.
The Eduspot has a variable payment set up if you wish to donate.
Thank you and WELL DONE MR MCKEE! We’d give you a medal although we can see we’re too late!
