Today we said a final farewell to all of our Primary 7 pupils. We had a special Assembly to celebrate their memories and success throughout Waringstown Primary School. The children performed various sketches to highlight their 'special' memories from P1 to P7.
At the end of the Assembly each child was presented with the tie of the school they are being promoted to. The schools in which our Pupils are being promoted to are Lurgan Junior High School, Banbridge Academy, Friends, Methodist College Belfast, Dromore High School, Clounagh High School, Newbridge Integrated and Armagh Royal.
We wish all of our pupils every success in their future education. Please click READ MORE to view the complete set of pictures.

Primary 7 pupils' stepped back in time this week as they continued their detailed study of Famine and Emigration in Ireland during the 1840's.
The children have been learning about the famine years and how many hundreds of thousands of Irish people chose to escape the dreadful poverty and famine at home by emigrating to Canada and America.

Primary 7 stepped back in time last Friday once again as they visited The Argory, a National Trust property in Co Armagh. The children had given up on modern day education and embarked instead on a job application for work in the big house.
Valets, house maids, garden hands and other servants were required. The children toured the house and saw how life was completely different depending on whether you were born into the gentry or came into service.
We all agreed that times were totally different during the Victorian era and were quite glad to divest of our period costume at the end of the day and return to modern day Waringstown.

The contractor was on hand this morning so Mr McCambley seized the opportunity to take his class up to the new MUGA (Multi Use Games Area). They saw the construction work and very kindly, the contractor explained the state of the current pitch and how the new drainage system worked.
It was super to be able to see the progress and hear first hand how the workmen are managing the site. Hopefully there'll be more regular updates as the work continues.
