On Friday morning Primary 2 Mrs Munce's children had their class assembly. The children taught about harvest using the story of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.
This harvest time, the dwarfs had decided on a career change - they were going to be farmers! Snow White was hosting a Big Waringstown Taste-off show and needed her dwarf farmers to help gather vegetables.
With the help of her animal friends, they covered the vegetables in chocolate and had 2 contestants (Mrs McElhinney and Mr Gault) to taste each chocolate covered vegetable and try and guess correctly.
The children told the story of Joseph and how God had blessed him with the ability to interpret dreams. He gathered in and stored the harvest during the 7 years of plenty so there would be enough for the 7 years of famine. The children read some verses from the Bible and thanked everyone who brought in food for the food bank. They finished with a fun harvest song, featuring 3 soloists and a prayer. Thank you to all the children who worked so hard and performed so well this morning.
Psalm 67:6 says "The land has produced its harvest; God, our God, has blessed us".
