The Primary 6 / 7 Football Club runs each Tuesday from late September until Easter time. The Football Club aims to develop skills and fitness whilst promoting positive discipline and team awareness. Each club member receives an opportunity to play a match against a neighbouring school and the chance to 'pull on the Waringstown jersey,' an opportunity which we believe is so special for each individual club member.

From the football club comes a dedicated squad of players, usually about fourteen. This team competes in all of the local competitions and national events.

The football team is no stranger to success and has won every honour possible, from the league title in Mid-Ulster, the Mullen Cup, to being crowned the overall national Champions of Northern Ireland in 2006.

Waringstown Primary School also boasts a girls' football team which has had great success over its short life span. Having been crowned Mid-Ulster champions in 2009, the team went on to record third place in the Northern Ireland Finals in 2010.

Waringstown Primary School is very proud of the achievements of pupils both present and past, with some pupils going on to represent Northern Ireland at international level.

The club motto of, 'Work Hard, Play hard' is the foundation and cornerstone for a successful club, which proves very popular throughout the year.
