Our last night in London!
We’d a superb day together in spite of Legoland Windsor being somewhat chilly.
Some of us managed to get soaked even though it didn’t rain!
The children managed very well throughout the day and topped everything off with a spending spree in Hamleys Toy Shop. The latest indications are that approximately £1.5 million was spent within our 2 hour visit to Hamleys so I strongly suspect parents and grandparents popped a few extra pounds into pockets on the way out the door!
We’re currently packing and can’t wait to see family and friends tomorrow.
A huge thanks to all staff back in school, here on our trip and to Mr John Egerton for his unstinting work with the school website and London Blog!

Another wonderful day in London taking in the sights and sounds of this great city.
Today alone the children experienced:
- a visit to HM Tower of London and The Jewel House,
- an Uber Boat Trip from The Tower to the Millennium Bridge which we crossed to enjoy a whistle-stop guided tour of St Paul’s Cathedral (Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece),
- a ‘flight’ on the London Eye and finally another theatre visit; this time taking in ‘Wicked.’
The children are quite naturally shattered but in great form.
Thank you once again for your supportive messages via the London Blog and for such positive and affirming phone calls of today!

We’re just back into the hotel after another action packed day. The children have thoroughly enjoyed everything today but are naturally heading straight to bed.
Another enjoyable day ahead of us all tomorrow so let’s trust sleep comes easily.
