We’ve had an action packed Day One. The flight was on time which meant we were on good time for Windsor.
The children enjoyed the castle tour which was made all the more special this year, as we observed HRH The King and The Princess Royal receive new colours. The upper ward quadrangle was resplendent with military uniform, horse guards, musicians and invited guests. Quite a sight to behold.
The castle tour was topped off with some retail therapy in Church Street; the smallest street in the British Isles. Souvenirs and small gifts were purchased. The children also enjoyed some drinks and ice-creams.
This evening we took the opportunity to stroll up to Kensington Park to spot Kensington Palace, The Albert Memorial and The Royal Albert Hall.
All in all a great day!
Keep sharing messages WITHOUT emojis on the Blog as I am reading them out on the coach and they really do reassure the children!
