Today, the girls’ hockey team travelled to Killicomaine to play in the Northern Ireland qualifiers.
Their first match was against Armstrong, which they won 2-0. The next two matches were comfortable wins against Hart and Magheralin.
Our next match was against Kingspark. As usual, it was a tough battle, with Kingspark coming out on top winning 1-0.
The team came second in their section and had to play the winners of section one.
A tough match against Bocombra saw Waringstown coming through with a 1-0 victory.
We were through to the final!
Thankfully the final, against Seagoe, was an easier match, with the team winning 4-1!
It was a hard-fought tournament and, in the end, Waringstown were victorious.
We look forward to the finals in Belfast.
