As part of the topic "The Vikings" both P6 classes have been investigating boat hulls.

During class investigations, the children were set a challenge to plan and make a boat hull from the material tin foil.

The children had great fun manipulating the foil to form a longship.

Both classes then had the enjoyment of sailing their longships.  As an added investigation, marbles were added to weigh each longship down to see which one could carry the most cargo.

An enjoyable investigation culminated with the children talking about improvements they would like to make if conducting the same investigation again.

Well done P6
