Primary 5 have been enjoying learning about Ancient Egypt on the laptops recently. They have been completing lots of different activities. These included learning how to make a mummy, learning about hieroglyphics and the Egyptian number system as well as completing jigsaws and wordsearches. Lots of fun!! :-)

On Wednesday the 15th October both Mrs Williamson's and Mrs Peacocke’s Primary 5 children embarked on an EGYPTIAN ADVENTURE.
They all came to school dressed as Egyptians and spent an activity filled day based completely around their World Around Us topic of The Egyptians. Everyone looked spectacular and a HUGE thanks goes to all the parents who helped this day be a great success with supporting us with the excellent costumes and accessories!! Even the teachers got into the spirit of Ancient Egypt. Our day started with an Assembly led by Mr McCambley, this also involved the donating of Food towards the Craigavon Area Food Bank Appeal. Egyptian Pyramids and Flatbread were made during the day, with some Egyptian dancing in the afternoon. All of the Primary 5 children enjoyed this educational and fun learning experience

TO ALL PRIMARY 5 PARENTS!!!

Please remember as part of our World Around Us topic on The Egyptians, Primary 5 are planning an 'Egyptian Day' on Wednesday 15th October. We would like the children to dress like an Egyptian using ideas which we have discussed in class, we will provide each child with an Egyptian head dress on Tuesday 14th October so it is only clothing to be prepared.
The children will wear their Egyptian clothes throughout their school day. The activities planned for the day will be completely based around The Egyptians. This is a Fun and Educational day for your child.
Many Thanks
Mrs S Williamson, Mrs J Peacocke

Today, Friday 3rd October, P5 Mrs Peacocke’s class participated in a whole school assembly about ‘Friendship’. They talked about the importance of friendship, what they like about their friends and how to be a good friend. They acted the story of Naomi and Ruth showing the commitment of a good friend through happy and sad times.
They ended the assembly with an Alphabetical poem about the values of friendship and a beautiful song ‘Seeds of Friendship’.
Mrs Peacocke and Miss Hill are very proud of the whole class for participating in the assembly with great enthusiasm and encouragement for one another. Well done Primary 5! J
