Recently Primary 5 were visited by the Northern Ireland Fire Service. The children were given a brief safety talk by the officers in class and then asked to complete an activity. The children were then taken outside to see the Fire Engine and each child was allowed to use the water hose!! Even Mrs Williamson and Mrs Erskine were roped into doing a job, Mrs Williamson had to 'model' the appropriate uniform for Fire Fighting while Mrs Erskine used the water hose, managing to spray most of the boys and girls in Primary 5! The children really enjoyed and benefited greatly from this very worthwhile and educational annual visit. A special thank you was said by Mrs Williamson to the Lurgan Branch of NI Fire Service who were fantastic in relaying their safety message.
