After weeks of preparation and practice Miss McAnearney’s P4’s took to the stage to perform their play which was called ‘Captain Perseverance to the Rescue’. The theme of the assembly was ‘Never Give Up’. Each and every pupil performed magnificently. See photos below which captured them in action.

P4 have been doing lots of data handling activities over the past few weeks. Last week we focussed on Pictograms. We carried out a maths investigation where we created a whole class pictogram and then the children had to write questions about it. Other children in the class then had a chance to answer these questions. This really helped with our thinking skills and personal capabilities.

P4 have been learning to add 2 digit numbers. Today we spent time building the numbers out. We also talked about carrying. To see how we teach this go to the 'RESOURCES' part of the website, and click on 'MATHS AT A GLANCE,' which provides numerous mathematical videos that we have created.

P4 have been learning to sort data. Last week both classes took part in sorting sweets and showing their results using bar charts.
