As part of our Farm Topic, Primary One went to the village butchers to investigate what meat comes from a pig. Trader D showed the children various pork cuts including a pig’s ribs! We brought some cocktail sausages back to school to cook and eat – they were delicious!
Thank you Trader D and thank you also to Mr McKee who accompanied us on our walk to ensure we crossed the road safely. We enjoyed every part of this investigation!

Primary One have been learning all about 'People Who Help Us'. We were very lucky to get a visit from the Paramedics, Police Officers and Firefighters!
Our visitors showed us all their special equipment, their uniforms and their vehicles and spoke to us about the different jobs they do to help people.
The children really enjoyed their experiences, some of their highlights include squirting water from the hose, climbing inside the real police car, hearing the sirens and trying on some of the police equipment!

Primary One have been very busy with lots of fun Easter activities!
On Tuesday we had our egg rolling competition followed by our Easter Bunny hunt. We didn't manage to find the Easter Bunny but we did find some yummy chocolate lollies that he dropped. While we were outside hunting, The Easter Bunny sneaked into our classrooms and left another chocolate treat on our desks!!
Today we had a special Easter snack with bunny shaped sandwiches, delicious!

P1 had a very special visit from Mrs Park and baby Aria to help them with their Baby Topic. Mrs Park brought in lots of equipment that she needed for baby Aria and talked to us about she uses it all. We asked lots of interesting questions and learnt lots about babies. Thank you so much Mrs Park and Aria for coming to visit Primary 1. We loved having you back in school!
