Primary 1 Enjoy A Special Visit From Our School Crossing Patrol Officer

Recently Mr McKittrick visited the Primary 1 children in their classroom.  They looked at his uniform and learnt how his coat is fluorescent so he can be seen in the dark and that it has reflectors to help the cars see him.

The children then went outside to practice how to cross the road safely with his help.  They know to hold an adult’s hand, wait until Mr McKittrick calls them and to walk in front of him.

We remember to always say ‘thank you’ as he helps us to cross the road.

It’s been a busy but exciting few days for primary 1 pupils as they settle into school life – and it’s been a lot of fun too!

The boys and girls have enjoyed getting to know one another and their teachers. Friendships are blossoming as the children become familiar with new school routines and exciting learning experiences.  View our gallery below to see how the Primary 1 children have been getting on.{gallery}First Days in P1{/gallery}
