The girls’ hockey team have had a busy few weeks playing league matches and tournaments.
The 'A Team' finished top of their league table beating Bocombra, Maralin, Seagoe and Markethill. This success puts them through to the ‘Super League’ tournament which will be played in April.
The team competed in two tournaments in recent weeks. The first tournament was in Cookstown for the Mid Ulster Cup. The team had to play in a tough section, being narrowing beaten by Maralin, who went on to win the cup.
Their next tournament was to qualify the team to play in the Northern Ireland finals. The girls, to everyone’s delight, comfortably won their section which put them through to this prestigious tournament.
The ‘B Team’ had an equally successful run of matches. They played Seagoe, Markethill and Maralin. The girls won one match against Seagoe and drew with both Markethill and Maralin.
Fantastic results all round.
