Senior Choir Raise up the Titanic

Details

Published: 20 March 2013

The Senior Choir raised up the Titanic with more than a hint of irony today from the landmark Titanic building. The choir performed three pieces from the replica grand staircase: Be Still my Soul / You Raise me Up, Thank you for the Music of Abba fame and Round by the Riverside.

The choir were privileged to perform to almost 1000 delegates at the Young Enterprise business event. Some children exchanged high 5’s with Marc Mallett from UTV. Mrs Erskine was sure that Jim Eastwood, from the BBC Apprentice programme, winked at her as the choir were singing! She also said he was singing along! A fan of the Senior Choir!

We are incredibly proud of our Senior Choir and how well they represent our school in public.

The end of another year for the choir

Not a la or even a fah la la la la was to be heard coming from the Senior Choir on Monday!! Just mmm as Mrs Erskine and Mr McCambley treated the choir to an end of season lolly. Choir Practice has ended now on Monday afternoons.

Mrs Erskine and Mr McCambley would like to thank all of the members for their dedication to the choir and for their faithful attendance on Monday afternoons. They would also like to wish all the P7 choir members best wishes as they leave us and hope that these children will become involved in the musical life of their post primary schools.
