The senior Choir were honoured to visit the switching on of the village Christmas lights. The ceremony took place in the grounds of Waring House, at the kind invitation of Mr & Mrs Harnett. The children sang three pieces:

Rainbow Christmas

Away in a Manger

and

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer! (Mrs Erskine and Mr McCambley were rather amazed at the children’s gusto rendition of this last piece. Sorry all grandmothers!

We were so pleased to see a huge representation of our parents mingling freely in the grounds of Waring House with an estimated congregation of 350!

The carols were interspersed with readings. The prayers were offered up by our Chairperson, the Rev Canon Bryan Martin.

We love see the school linked with the Church of Ireland and Waringstown Presbyterian Church communities who organised the event under the direction of Rev B Sanderson.

Thankfully the weather stayed dry and the children enjoyed a sweet treat too which was most welcome.
