This week, our Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils had a fantastic outdoor learning experience when Dave Wiggins from Sustrans visited our school to lead an exciting orienteering activity!
The playgrounds became a mini adventure course, where pupils worked in teams to navigate using maps, solve clues, and find hidden markers. Dave introduced the children to the basics of orienteering, including how to read a map, follow directions, and work together to complete a challenge.
The activity was not only great fun, but it also helped pupils develop important skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and spatial awareness. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, active, and enthusiastic about learning outdoors.
A huge thank you to Dave, from Sustrans, for bringing this brilliant experience to our school!
