Primary 4 boys and girls had a fantastic day stepping back in time as they dressed up as wartime evacuees. The children thoroughly enjoyed pretending to live during this important period in history and showed great enthusiasm throughout the day.

As part of their learning, the class took their experience outdoors to Forest School, where they worked together to create shelters (a little different to an Anderson or a Morrison shelter). Using bamboo sticks, tarpaulin and clothes pegs, the pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.

It was a memorable and enjoyable day that brought history to life in a fun and engaging way.
