Dear Parent,
In addition to information already provided please note the following:
- See summary grid below advising on courses of action in various scenarios
- COVID-19 Symptoms reminder
A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
A new continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
A loss of or change in sense of smell or taste
Gastrointestinal Symptoms (diarrhoea and vomiting)
- Often parents contact school about whether or not a child should be sent to school as the child has a ‘cold’. In simple terms – if the child has a new cough of any sort (or a temperature) please err on the side of caution and do not send them to school.
