Today two of our pupils travelled with Mr Gault to the University of Ulster at Jordanstown to take part in the regional final of the Sentinus K'Nex Challenge 2017. They had to design a new electric train to run on a rail line. The boys had to plan out their design, create a train that was at least 20cm long, 10cm high and 7.5cm wide. The train had to be of a sturdy build and propelled by electric power. The final part of the challenge was that the train would move over one metre of track without falling off.

The boys did very well and met their challenge.

Afterwards, they had time to visit all the exhibitions and take part in a science show, which they both thoroughly enjoyed.

Well done boys
