Published: 25 November 2016

This week in P6 Mr Brown and Mr Somerville challenged their classes to see if they could learn ALL the Prime Numbers from 0-100. The classes were challenged, not only to learn them but to see who could recite them in the quickest time. The quickest time in each class were filmed and you can see the results below. Mr Brown and Mr Somerville were very proud of all the children who had a go at this very tough voluntary challenge. Well done to the winners. Both the winners completed the challenge in under 11 seconds!

Today in school The P6 boys had a really exciting event.  Waringstown Primary School hosted a friendly P6 football tournament with Fairhill Primary school from Dromara.

The tournament was played on our MUGA pitch and all the P6 boys who have taken part in after school football so far this year were offered the chance to play. We hope to repeat this tournament in Term 2 to give all the P7 boys who attend football a chance to play in a tournament also.

Mr Brown and Mr Somerville were very proud of all the P6 boys who played really well in all their matches.  We were also very thankful to Mr Brown and Mr Woods from Fairhill who brought their teams over for the friendly tournament.

After the tournament the boys all received a packet of crisps to round off a great afternoon. Over all it was a great event and the boys certainly seemed to enjoy it.

Here are some photos from the tournament.

Published: 20 October 2016

As part of their Maths Week challenge, the Primary 6 children designed surveys of favourite crisp flavours.  The children then went round classes within school and conducted their surveys. To finish with, each child then graphed their data findings and presented them to the class.  As a special treat Mr Brown and Mr Somerville will buy each child a packet of crisps for Friday. Well done Primary 6!
