Primary 5 Egyptian Day – A Huge Success!

On Wednesday the 17th October both Mrs Williamson's and Mrs Peacockes Primary 5 children embarked on an EGYPTIAN ADVENTURE. They all came to school dressed as Egyptians and spent an activity filled day based completely around their World Around Us topic of The Egyptians. Everyone looked spectacular and a big thanks goes to all the parents who helped this day be a great success with supporting us with the excellent costumes and accessories!!

World Around Us topic ‘Ancient Egyptians'

Today, Friday 16th November 2012, Primary 5 Mrs Peacocke's class put on an assembly about their World Around Us topic 'Ancient Egyptians.'

They performed a sketch to explain what life was like in Ancient Egypt, read pyramid poems that they had written in class and told rest of the school what they found most interesting about Ancient Egypt.

The children also expressed how fortunate they are to have the opportunities to learn more about the world around them in a lovely, bright school with all the resources they need. They thanked God for the world around us that He has created which they enjoy learning so much about.

Check out the photos of our class assembly. You may recognise some of the Egyptians too!

P5 Assembly Preparations

Primary 5 Mrs Williamson's class have been busy over the last few weeks practising for their P5 Class Assembly! On Friday past they finally got to perform their play for all of the classes from Primary 1 to Primary 7. The theme of their assembly was 'Obedience', the Children in Primary 5 revised the School Rules and even acted out a few! Their main play was based around 'Jonah and the Whale', the Children from Foundation and Key Stage 1 particularly enjoyed this and learnt how important it is to follow and obey God.

All of the children in Primary 5 really enjoyed performing their assembly, as a reward they got a night off homework on Monday as Mrs Williamson was very proud of them all.

Best Wishes to Mrs Peacocke P5!

Primary 5 recently treated Mrs Peacocke to a surprise 'Baby Shower' as she approaches the beginning of her maternity leave. The children from Primary 5 organised the event with the help of Mrs Williamson. The two classes joined together to sing, play games and enjoy some treats while celebrating with Mrs Peacocke.

The children presented Mrs Peacocke with presents which will help her well on her way to preparing for her new arrival. Mrs Williamson would like to express a massive thanks to all the parents whom sent in cards and gifts, your generosity was definitely reflected in Mrs Peacocke's reaction to this event! Many thanks for your continued support and may we take this opportunity to wish Mrs Peacocke best wishes for herself and husband Chris as they prepare for their new arrival.
