Fire Service Visit Primary 5

On Monday the 5th March 2012 the children from Primary 5 Mrs Williamson and Mrs Peacocke had a visit from The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service. The children were taught about safety procedures in the home and how they can stay safe. Each pupil received a Safety Team Pack which contained a variety of worksheets and activities for the children to complete.

The children thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learnt so much about how they can Stay Safe.

The children from Mrs Peacocke's and Mrs Williamson's class visited the Tayto Factory and were given the opportunity to see first hand how crisps are made, produced and packed ready for the shop. The children really enjoyed this experience and even got to meet Mr Tayto. The children each received a variety pack and a Tayto ruler!

Mrs Peacockes Primary 5 Olympic Assembly

P5 Mrs Peacocke's class took part in a class assembly on the 2012 Olympics.

Olympic Assembly

We have been very excited recently about the 2012 Olympics coming to London this summer. It has been brought closer to home knowing that Natalie Barr, a former pupil from our school, will be carrying the Olympic Torch on its journey throughout the United Kingdom. We have really enjoyed taking part in our assembly about the Olympics and have certainly learnt a lot. We are going to follow the Olympic Values in school showing friendship, excellence and respect.

Please click READ MORE to view the pictures and hear the audio from today. The slides are also available to download in PDF form.
