A wonderful day was had in Primary 3 when Mr Patterson arrived with his 'birds of Prey'. Primary 3 children got to see and hold a barn owl, kestrel and a long eared owl.

Primary Three's assembly on 1st February was on Birds. After having studied this topic in World Around Us the children were very excited to share their knowledge with the rest of the school. The story of the 'Very Worried Sparrow' was well acted out, with Lukas Moles being the 'Worried Sparrow'. The rest of the class enjoyed singing, saying poems and acting too.

As part of out literacy programme we are learning how to follow instructions. The children designed and made their own masks using different materials. We are delighted with the end results.

Primary 3 have been learning about zoo animals and endangered species.

They have had great fun sewing and decorating their own colourful puppets.

Primary Three's visit to the Zoo could not have been better!! The sun shone and all the animals came out to see us. All the children particularly enjoyed the baby chimpanzee and playing on the monkey bars. A brilliant day was had by everyone.
