School Eco Council continue to meet on a regular basis with Mr Gault to discuss important school issues.  Each representative makes a contribution to the agenda as they aim to further progress with our Eco Schools status.  Well done to each representative and to Mr Gault for their continued hard work!

School Eco Council fund raising

The School ECO Council used some of their funds raised from last year's Second Hand Book sale to purchase bungee bouncers and therapy putty for our Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 pupils. Every year the School Eco Council raise funds which they put back into the school by buying what year groups and classes have requested.

Next Friday will be another School Eco School fundraiser, Ditch the Dark Day. Half of the money from this will be given to a charity and the other half will be used by the School Eco Council to purchase another set of resources for pupil use.

Belfast Giants Visit Key Stage 2

Primary 5, 6 and 7 recently enjoyed a visit from Cole, an American player for the Belfast Giants accompanied by Gordy,  the Coordinator of the Belfast Giants Healthy Schools Programme.  This Programme is sponsored by Subway and is part of the Giants Healthy Lifestyle Programme, it is in its twelfth year and informs the children on how important it is for the Giants to eat properly, train carefully and perform well on the ice.  Everyone enjoyed meeting Cole and listening to his game plan techniques!
