P6M recently embarked on an exciting adventure to Navan Fort to dive into the world of Viking life. The day was filled with fun and learning as we practiced writing with quills and ink, just like the monks did in the monastery's scriptorium. We had the incredible opportunity to meet real-life Vikings who showcased their weapons and shared fascinating insights about life during Viking raids. The final workshop focused on everyday Viking living, where we explored a variety of Viking artifacts. Overall, it was a brilliant experience that we will always remember!
Primary 6 had a brilliant time designing their own dream rooms on I-pads as part of a creative Geography lesson with Mrs McElhinney. From cosy corners to wild wallpaper choices, pupils explored layout and space letting their imaginations run free. Click 'read more' too see more photos...

Our Eco Council was thrilled to receive a brand new water butt from Northern Ireland Water this week - a fantastic addition to our school’s ongoing sustainability efforts!
The donation supports our commitment to reducing water waste and using natural resources more responsibly. The water butt will collect rainwater from the school roof, which can then be used to water plants in our school garden and outdoor areas - helping us save treated water and protect the environment.
This initiative builds on the success of our participation in the Zero Waste Schools Pilot Programme last year. Our Eco Council is passionate about continuing this important work and encouraging all pupils to think about how small changes can make a big difference.
A huge thank you to Northern Ireland Water for supporting our school and helping us take another step towards a greener future!
This term, our Primary Seven class embarked on an exciting research adventure exploring the fascinating country of Japan as part of our World Around Us topic. Each group chose a unique aspect of Japanese life to investigate, for example food, technologies, fashion, culture, anime and geography. The results were both creative and informative!
Each project was presented with pride and the classroom was transformed into a mini Japan exhibition. We’re incredibly proud of the effort, creativity and curiosity shown by our Primary Seven pupils. Their work has helped us all understand and appreciate the wonders of Japan a little more.

In Primary 4 we have starting learning more about verbs, otherwise known as 'doing' or 'action' words. Take a look through our gallery of 'actions.'

On Wednesday 15th October and Thursday 16th October, our P6 and P7 classes had a fantastic time visiting Ardmore Gospel Hall for the OBEX Bible Exhibition. We were greeted with big smiles and felt very welcome. The exhibition was super interesting, with lots of artifacts to look at! We learned all about how the Bible was written and took a fun journey through its amazing stories. Each child was thrilled to receive a special gift of a Bible and a goody bag, making the day even more memorable.

The Waringstown boys football team delivered superb performances at the recent Mid Ulster Schools 7-a-Side Tournament, securing a well-deserved second place finish among a competitive field of schools from across the local area. The boys started well and confidently won their group matches with victories over Dickson PS and Millington PS. Now qualified for the top seeded games, they went on to beat Bocombra PS and Moyallon PS, which led to their final match against Hardy Memorial. The game was very well contested and a late goal from Hardy secured their win. Throughout the tournament, the team showcased excellent teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination. Very well done boys!
