Primray 1 enjoyed a colourful day of fun, food and caterpillars! 🍉🐛
The boys and girls have been enjoying learning all about caterpillars and butterflies over the last couple of weeks.
We even went on a bug hunt in our forest area to find some caterpillars.
We finished our topic in style by having a Hungry Caterpillar day. We painted butterflies and saw the symmetry created when we folded the wings over.
We ate caterpillar cake and lots and lots of tasty treats! We also sequenced the life cycle of a butterfly and watched ‘a bugs life’ during wet break! 🤩
The children (and staff) had such a fun day and we all thought we looked really cool in our hungry caterpillar hats!
The boys and girls also brought home their own individual books of the very hungry caterpillar that they've been working on for the past couple of weeks!
