Taster pots of the chicken curry and rice were delivered to the children at Break time to encourage them to try the curry. Mrs EJ Abraham (Unit Catering Supervisor) visited the classroom with samples and by the looks of the photos a pineapple delight was being enjoyed too!
Primary 3 children recently visited Greenmount for an autumn walk experience.
On arrival the rain poured down however this did not dampen our spirits as we left with the sun shining.
The children had fun looking at all the different autumn leaves and seeds. They also heard about animals which hibernate and those who gather and store food.
We had a great time exploring the wonderful grounds of Greenmount.

Primary three loved using the apparatus during our gymnastics lesson. They showed great balance, strength and confidence at each station. Click read more to see the images.
Primary 3 enjoyed a visit from Jude and Chloe from ‘Look Around’ to finish off their ‘Mini Beasts’ topic. They chatted to the children about their new book – In the Hedgerow – discovering and learning new facts about the mini beasts we can see around the village. They brought amazing props and asked the children questions, quizzing them on the information they had already discovered during their topic. We also learned that they are now going to make ‘MiniBeasts’ their new topic for their next book. They have asked the children to help them decide what insects they would like to appear in the book – very exciting! Our very own authors and illustrators were very excited.
